24 Rally Info

2024 Overcrest Rally

We’re excited to have all of you join us here in Arkansas. This place features some amazing roads, and absolutely beautiful scenery.

That said, this place can be dangerous. Please be responsible:

  1. Obey the law. Some of the roads are extremely dangerous. A mistake could result in extreme injury or even death. Be careful, and respect your car, the road, and others.
  2. Be prepared. Our routes will take you to remote places … this isn't Los Angeles. Bring snacks. Bring a cooler, pack a lunch, have a picnic. Pack appropriately and take care of and be responsible for yourself.
  3. Get gas often. Some of the most beautiful roads are in the middle of nowhere. If you pass a gas station, stop and top off your tank. You don't want to be stuck running on fumes.

Lastly, we hope you enjoy the rally, enjoy the solitude and make friends not only with the road, but with each other.

Registration will be held deep in the Blanchard Springs/Caverns area. Feel free to register, connect with others, then head out to explore on your own. It's a beautiful area with caverns, trails, and plenty of fun roads.

Thursday evening - Dinner

6pm

JoJo’s Catfish Wharf will host us for dinner and camaraderie. Dinner here is on us, and is provided by our friends at Nokian Tyres.

Friday - Day 1

6:45am

pin iconBlanchard Springs Recreational Area

Our kick off point is Blanchard Springs Recreational Area. It's a big area, so be aware this is different from the trail head. Like always, we leave at sunrise in the Ozark mountains. You won’t see the sun as it crests, but you’ll appreciate a longer day for exploring.

Try to be parked by 7am. Departure times will be after the drivers meeting around 7:15/7:30 am. Be punctual, be on time. No one will wait for you. There are no "leaders" and you are encouraged to drive with your friends and stop wherever you'd like. Friday’s routes are 7-8 hours at a quick pace. That leaves plenty of time to turn off, make your own path, explore small towns, take a short hike, or just hang out with friends in total isolation. The best part of where we are is how empty it is. Stop, take it in, and appreciate the solitude.

Friday morning we’re having coffee provided by Hagerty. We’re meeting in Calico Rock . If you follow the route, you’ll get there. It's an awesome spot - make sure not to miss it.

Friday night is spent near Jasper and Harrison. There are many dinner spots in town. There’s no official meetup for dinner Friday night. Hang with your friends, new and old, and enjoy discovering a place to be. Harrison has some great BBQ, and Jasper has a solid Pizza joint in town. If you’re looking for pub fare, or a place to wet your whistle, the bar at the historic Hotel Seville has a good vibe.

Saturday - Day 2

7am

pin iconDogpatch

We’re doing the drivers meeting in Dogpatch at 7am. This is a unique setting with rich Ozark history. All the rules for Friday apply. Be on time for the meeting followed by a 7:15/7:30 departure.

Saturday Night - Film Fest

7pm

pin iconOark Cafe and General Store

The Overcrest Film Fest is the setting for Saturday night, at the one-of-a-kind Oark Cafe and General Store. Feel free to arrive anytime after 5pm. Your rally entry fees pay for access to the area and we’ve got an amazing dinner waiting too, covered with your entry.
